Overview
The Department is accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), and the qualifications of graduates are internationally recognized, so that they can be in line with international standards. The main development direction of the Department of Electrical Engineering (Group B) is (1) Internet of Things, (2) machine learning, (3) broadband wireless networks, (4) antenna and microwave circuit design, (5) microwave circuit and passive component design (including RF integrated circuit design, signal integrity research, millimeter wave passive component design, antenna design, and wave engineering), (6) communication systems (digital communication, communication signal processing, MIMO systems), (7) mobile communications (wireless communications, 5G mobile communications transmission and networks), (8) network information (including machine learning, video analysis, image processing, graphical recognition, big data analysis, software definition network, natural language and voice processing and software engineering). We have a strong and international faculty with extensive academic and practical experience, and work closely with world-renowned universities. We have spent more than 100 million dollars to build excellent laboratory facilities and provide a first-class learning environment, and have a close relationship with Far EasTone, one of the top three telecommunications operators in Taiwan. Graduates have done extremely well in further education and employment and are highly sought after by industry and academia.
