INTRODUCTION

International Foundation Program
International Foundation Program is a 1+4 program. In the first year, the students only take Chinese language course. Those who achieve TOCFL A2 or higher can proceed to undergraduate studies in their respective professional department starting from the second year.

Department of Electrical Engineering (Program A)
Accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), the degree qualifications the Department offered are internationally compatible. Graduates can work in electrical, electronic, power, information, communication and optoelectronics related industries, and have a wide range of career paths. The Department has outstanding faculty members who have received numerous awards, including IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, and Ministry of Science and Technology’s Distinguished Research Award. Some of them are also the recipient of the Tai-You Wu Memorial Award and have been awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology for major projects, such as the AI Center Project and the Einstein Project. In the rating of the quality of scientific and technical research papers in the world universities in recent years, the Department has been repeatedly recognized for its quality of research papers in the fields of electrical engineering and information technology. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018, we were ranked among the top 200 universities in Asia and among the best young universities in the world. The Department is based on the university’s educational mission, with a comprehensive curriculum of basic, theoretical, and experimental courses, complemented by related professional programs and research projects. It aims to train students to become important research and development personnel for the world’s technology industries.
