Overview
“The doctoral program of the IM Department in Yuan Ze University is the first doctoral program of the Information Management Institute of a private university approved to be established in Taiwan. The main research direction is to make good use of corporate wisdom and enhance corporate competitive advantages, cultivate senior R&D talents with both information technology capabilities and modern management knowledge for the country and society, and actively respond to the society’s demand for knowledge in the field of asset management.
The teachers of IM department are divided into five areas: Information Technology, Measurement Decision, Information Management, Business Management and Social Innovation, focusing on cultivating students’ solid programming ability, supplemented by system analysis and business management concepts.
The research and development priorities of IM department are ““Big Data Analysis”” and ““Artificial Intelligence Application”” as the main axis, and ““Business Intelligence”“, ““Biomedical Information”“, ““Social Media Analysis”” and ““Smart Manufacturing”” as characteristic application fields. The department cooperates with the ““Big Data and Digital Convergence Innovation Center”” to jointly develop various innovative applications.
